Vanwege aangescherpte regelgeving heeft Mazingira FM een tweede studioruimte moeten inrichten. Met jullie hulp is deze afgelopen week gerealiseerd. Hierdoor is er altijd een alternatieve studioruimte beschikbaar als één van de studio’s uitvalt.
Het was weer fijn om in Tanzania te zijn en Simba, Kisaka, Mramba en Teddy te ontmoeten. Het gaat goed met ze. Samen met hen hebben we de school bezocht. We waren erg onder de indruk van het nieuwe ICT lokaal en de leerlingen waren ontzettend blij met deze nieuwe ontwikkeling. Er zijn 30 computers en elk uur mogen 60 leerlingen gebruik maken van het computerlokaal.
De school zag er verder goed en verzorgd uit.
Op de muur van de school was een soort striptekening gemaakt waarop leerlingen kunnen zien waar ze moeten zijn als er sprake is van geweld/grensoverschrijdend gedrag. Heel fijn te zien dat ook hier meer aandacht voor komt.
De keuken wordt binnenkort aangepast. Met de opbrengst van onze olijfolieactie kunnen we de keuken voorzien van voldoende (simpele) apparatuur waarmee ze alle leerlingen iedere dag kunnen voorzien van een warme maaltijd.

Vorige week werd het computerlokaal van de Esperanto Secondary school in gebruikgenomen. Het lokaal werd eerst geheel gerenoveerd, het meubilair werd in elkaar geschroefd, computers werden aangeschaft en geinstalleerd en vervolgens werd het lokaal officieel geopend. Inmiddels leren de leerlingen dankzij jullie hulp Windows, Word en Excel goed te gebruiken.
De Mazingira Community Development Forum heeft in Bunda (Tanzania) een training georganiseerd voor leraren, leerlingen en lokale leiders. Doel was het versterken van competentiegericht onderwijs, het bieden van loopbaanbegeleiding en het bevorderen van een veilige, kindvriendelijke leeromgeving.
Met succes volgden 56 leraren en 500 leerlingen workshops en coaching. Daarnaast werden 300 boekjes over loopbaanoriëntatie en kinderbescherming verspreid en vond brede bewustwording plaats via radio en gemeenschapsleiders.
De training heeft geleid tot betere onderwijskwaliteit, meer loopbaanbewustzijn bij leerlingen en een veiliger schoolklimaat. De aanbeveling is om dit initiatief verder uit te breiden naar meer scholen en gezinnen in het district.

Het project “Empowering Teachers and Students for a Competency-Based, Career-Oriented, and Safe Learning Environment”, uitgevoerd door Mazingira Community Development Forum in Bunda (Tanzania), had tot doel om leraren, leerlingen en de gemeenschap te versterken op drie terreinen:
Het project heeft aantoonbaar bijgedragen aan beter onderwijs, sterkere leerlingbegeleiding en een veiliger schoolklimaat. Opschaling binnen het hele district wordt aanbevolen om de behaalde resultaten te bestendigen en breder te verspreiden.
Hoe ziet een chemie praktijktoets eruit in het laboratorium van de Esperanto Secondary School? Nou, eigenlijk gewoon hetzelfde als in Nederland! Maatkolven, buretten en pipetjes.
De bouw van de studieruimte van Esperanto Secondary School is voltooid, de meubels zijn geplaatst en het studiemateriaal is aangeschaft.
Op 16 augustus vond, in aanwezigheid van alle studenten, docenten en lokale overheid, de officiële opening van de studieruimte plaats.

The thing that people do not know it is that there are people who live a very normal life, while investing the power, knowledge and wisdom given to them by God in helping other people succeed in their communities, I have seen these wonders in the leaders of MAZINGIRA, Honorable MRAMBA SIMBA, KISAKA their young man SIMBA and their friends from different areas of the world, they are people who live the purpose of God, God use them to change the life of the community. They are doing great things in the community that cost millions of money but they are living a normal life just like other people in the community, I always learn a lot from them they have a unique heart and life style.
My name is William Mramba Petro I was started secondary education in 2016 at Esperanto secondary school up to 2019. I am writing to express my sincerest gratitude for the unwavering support and guidance I have received from Esperanto Secondary School since I began my studies in Form One in 2016, up to my current pursuit of higher education at Mzumbe University in Morogoro. Firstly, I would like to give my special thanks to my almighty God for giving me alive, health, power, wisdom, courage, willingness, strength and ability of reach at this stage and also my special thanks and respect goes to all Esperanto Secondary Teachers, sponsors and all Esperanto community to gather with my lovely parents as well as my family in general for their support in my education.
After graduated from Esperanto secondary school in 2021 I was Selected to join with INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANCY ARUSHA(IAA) in Tanzania to study FINANCE AND BANKING PROGRAM For Three years from 2021 up to 2024 this is my third year in Diploma studies., up to now I Achieve the behalf of My Dream Because my dream is to Be a Banker after completing a Bachelor Degree study.
My Special thanks goes to Esperanto Secondary School that shown me general Support that helps me to achieve to be here I am today due to good environment for studies such as good buildings of classes and laboratories for science subject hostel, teachers house, good latrines, water supply as well as Dining Hall for school baraza and Debate.

NYAMBOBE TUMAINI (A holder of Diploma in Veterinary and Computer studies)
My name is NYAMBOBE TUMAIN I joined Esperanto secondary school 2016 and graduated in 2019, currently I’m working in Zanzibar in one of the microfinance company called Orbit Microfinance as a secretary, With secondary education it has helped me in different areas such as acquire ring knowledge, skills and ability to sustain my life.
Also, I was able to join Avocational education Training at KISANGWA Vocational Training Center after my graduation in 2020 -2022 where I acquired a Diploma in veterinary and computer studies.
My advice to other students they should study hard and believe in God for every thing about their studies but also to the students who live in Maasland college hostel they have got a golden opportunity of having more time for their studies they should avoid other issues out of their studies and observe discipline for their success in studies.
In januari begonnen we in Marambeka met de realisatie van een studieruimte voor de leerlingen en mensen uit de gemeenschap. Dankzij de opbrengst van onze olijfolie actie, de adventsactie van de Titus Brandsma Parochie in Oss en de bijdrage van De Wilde Ganzen, wordt er snel vooruitgang geboekt!
De oorspronkelijke lokalen zijn volledig gestript
De gemeenschap hielp mee met het aanleggen van een nieuwe vloer
Er werden nieuwe kozijn met glas geplaatst en de muren zijn glad gestreken
Het eindresultaat ziet er fantastisch uit, er is zelfs elektriciteit in het gebouw zodat er ook na zonsondergang gewerkt kan worden! Het enige dat nu nog rest is de inrichting 🙂
